Machismo, mafia y corrupción en el fútbol español
A finales de agosto de 2023, el escándalo generado por el caso Rubiales puso manifiesto, para una inmensa mayoría de la opinión pública, que algo huele a podrido en nuestro fútbol. Sin embargo, no es más que la punta del iceberg de una situación que algunos, los menos, llevan denunciando hace tiempo. Nepotismo, misoginia, espionaje, prebendas, compra de voluntades, medios de comunicación sesgados a favor de los de siempre y tráfico de influencias forman parte del día a día de un deporte que se ha convertido en un negocio millonario promocionado como espectáculo de masas que sólo beneficia a una elite de privilegiados. Esta «familia» corrupta, que, desde los clubes y las instituciones, ejerce su poder sin fisuras, hace tiempo que ha robado el fútbol a los aficionados. El presente libro pone sobre la mesa un tema del que se es muy consciente, pero del que se prefiere no hablar, ya que son muchos los intereses creados a su alrededor. Constructing the World
David Chalmers develops a picture of reality on which all truths can be derived from a limited class of basic truths. The picture is inspired by Rudolf Carnap's construction of the world in Der Logische Aufbau Der Welt. Carnap's Aufbau is often seen as a noble failure, but Chalmers argues that a version of the project can succeed. Carnap and the Vienna Circle
It is not inacurate to say that from 1928 to 1936 Carnap was a member of the Vienna Circle, even though during this period he was not always present in Vienna. During this years, which spanned roughly the period from the Aufbau to Testability and Meaning, he worked or at least discussed frequently with the members of the group. However, traditionally it has been difficult to form a proper view of the development of Carnap's ideas throughout this period, mainly because of three errors which have persisted in the commonly accepted historical interpretation of Carnap and the Vienna Circle: emphasis on the Circle as a unit rather than a collective of individuals; insistence on verificationism as the defining characteristic of Logical Positivism; and the systematic abstraction of the work of the Circle from its historical context. As against this historically distorted image, this book argues for an alternative reading, evaluating the different influences on Carnap of Schlick, Wittgenstein, Neurath and Popper, and making sense of Carnap's evolution from physicalism to phenomenalism and the syntactic point of view.
