Progresses in Artificial Intelligence and Neural Systems
This book provides an overview of the current advances in artificial intelligence and neural nets. ELECTRIMACS 2022
This book collects a selection of papers presented at ELECTRIMACS 2021, the 14th international conference of the IMACS TC1 Committee, held in Nancy, France, on 16th-19th May 2022. The conference papers deal with modelling, simulation, analysis, control, power management, design optimization, identification and diagnostics in electrical power engineering. The main application fields include electric machines and electromagnetic devices, power electronics, transportation systems, smart grids, renewable energy systems, energy storage like batteries and supercapacitors, fuel cells, and wireless power transfer. The contributions included in Volume 1 will be particularly focused on electrical engineering simulation aspects and innovative applications.
Smart Actuation and Sensing Systems
The objective of the present book, which tries to summarize in an edited format and in a fairly comprehensive manner, many of the recent technical research accomplishments in the area of Smart Actuators and Smart Sensors, is to combine researchers and scientists from different fields into a single virtual room. The book hence reflects the multicultural nature of the field and will allow the reader to taste and appreciate different points of view, different engineering methods and different tools that must be jointly considered when designing and realizing smart actuation and sensing systems.

High Intensity and High Brightness Hadron Beams
The 20th ICFA Advanced Beam Dynamics Workshop took place from April 8 to 12, 2002 at Fermilab, co-sponsored by Fermilab and KEK. The theme of this workshop was "High Intensity and High Brightness Hadron Beams". The workshop covered a broad range of topics associated with such beams, including reviews of the performance of existing high-intensity hadron machines, overviews of planned high-intensity hadron sources and projects, presentations on accelerator physics issues, technical systems designs, and applications of these beams in high energy physics, nuclear physics, heavy ion fusion, medicine, industry, and other fields.
