Maria Szasz holds degrees from the University of British Columbia, Emerson College, and the University of New Mexico. Her publications include Brian Friel and America (2013), and "Lyra McKee (1990-2019): 'How Uncomfortable Conversations Can Save Lives,'" in The Rose and Irish Identity (2021). This edition was published to coincide with a revival of the original production, including performances at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh.

It's a recent relocation; only two weeks before she was living in a flat near Croke Park in Dublin, beneath two East European prostitutes who she had begun to be friendly with.
