Aquesta publicació reflecteix la mostra titulada Darío Villalba. El cos aïllat, organitzada pel Patronat Martínez Guerricabeitia de la Fundació General de la Universitat de València, entre març i juliol de 2006. Aquesta exposició reflexiona sobre el tractament que fa Villalba del cos humà, especialment del masculí, i la vigència de la seua temàtica en el món actual. Contiene 129 obras únicas, entre pinturas, dibujos y fotografías de casi 60 artistas, y 274 ejemplares de obra gráfica (serigrafías, grabados y litografías) de 140 autores. Una colecció con una clara vocación social y un posicionamiento explícito contra el apoliticismo que abarca las cuatro últimas décadas del siglo XX.
