Christian Getzendanner was born in about 1698 in Germany. He married Anna Barbara Brunner April 20, 1723 in Klein Schifferstadt, Germany. They had seven children. In 1729 they immigrated to America and settled in Frederick, Maryland. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, the District of Columbia, South Carolina, Arkansas, Penn- sylvania, Kentucky, Illinois and elsewhere.

Thomas Getzendannner was born August 6, 1762 in Frederick County, Mary- land. He married Amelia Stokes (b. Mar 5, 1773) November 15, 1791. They had nine children. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.
Joseph Brunner was baptized as Josephus on August 26, 1678. He was the son of Heinrich and Maria (Braun) Brunner of Rotenstein. He married Cathrina Elisabetha Thomas, daughter of Christian and Anna Margaretha Thomas, on November 23, 1700 at Schifferstadt. Eight children were born of this union. The family arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 11, 1729. Joseph and family settled in Prince Georges' County, Maryland by 1736. He died some time between 1753 and 1756 in Maryland.
