"Los materiales aquí presentes han sido creados para enseñar la clase de español con fines específicos llamada 'Business in Hispanic Life and Culture'. El proceso de creación de los mismos se inició con la inestimable colaboración de un nutrido grupo de estudiantes del Departamento de Español y Portugués de la Universidad de Texas. Dichos estudiantes fueron encuestados para responder a un análisis de necesidades en el cual se les cuestionaba sobre sus temas de interés en el campo de los negocios y sus necesidades para acceder al mundo laboral después de su graduación. Tomando en cuenta las respuestas de los estudiantes encuestados, los materiales se han estructurado en 4 unidades principales que contienen los siguientes contenidos: la empresa, la contratación laboral, la banca y la bolsa y la mercadotecnia. Estas 4 unidades principales se subdividen en 4 secciones relacionadas con el tema principal. SOCALLT '04 is the sixth publication of the series documenting the sessions presented during the annual conferences of the South Central Association for Language Learning Technology (SOCALLT). This publication is a record of the sessions presented during the 2004 conference held at the San Jacinto College Central in Pasadena, TX on 6-7 February, 2004. All authors are current members of the organization.
