Este documento didáctico presenta una secuencia de instrucciones y fotografías que explican al lector cómo conservar y utilizar los residuos del pescado, aplicando una técnica sencilla de fermentación que los convierten en ensilado biológico, un producto líquido pastoso, libre de bacterias y hongos, que puede ser almacenado por varios meses sin riesgo de corromperse, y puede utilizarse como componente de alimento para animales como fuente de pro teínas. El propósito central de esta cartilla es que el habitante de la región amazónica aprenda a aprovechar íntegramente el pescado, contribuyendo no sólo en el reciclaje de residuos sino también, al abaratamiento y mejoramiento de las dietas alimenticias que utiliza para la crianza de animales.

Transitions from authoritarian to democratic governments can provide ripe scenarios for the emergence of new, insurgent political actors and causes. During peaceful transitions, such movements may become influential political players and gain representation for previously neglected interests and sectors of the population. But for this to happen, insurgent social movements need opportunities for mobilization, success, and survival.
