Familias inmigrantes en Galicia: la dimensión socioeducativa de la integración

El objetivo fundamental de esta investigación es identificar la tipología y perfil socio-educativo y cultural de las familias inmigrantes en la Comunidad Autónoma de Galicia. En una primera parte se analiza el modelo migratorio de las familias y su proyecto de vida en la sociedad de acogida, y caracteriza los distintos marcos de identidad étnico-cultural que afectan a la vida de las familias inmigrantes según su origen y valores de adscripción preponderantes. Se examinan las vías principales de inserción laboral de las familias inmigrantes en la sociedad gallega, y ayuda a analizar y comprender el papel y expectativas que confieren a la escuela las familias inmigrantes, junto a la importancia otorgada al éxito educativo como vía de progreso social. En una segunda parte se mejora el conocimiento que tienen las familias inmigrantes de la cultura y la sociedad del país de acogida, así como de su sistema educativo, tratando con ello de fomentar sus niveles de participación en las escuelas.

El Instituto de Formación del Profesorado, Investigación e Innovación Educativa tiene entre sus objetivos contribuir a la mejora de la calidad de la educación mediante la investigación educativa y el desarrollo eficaz de la innovación en el sistema educativo. Por ello anualmente los Premios Nacionales de Investigación Educativa y Tesis Doctorales. La presente publicación incluye los resúmenes de los trabajos premiados en la edición 2007 de los ¿Premios CIDE?. Se trata ya de la vigésima tercera edición de los premios que, si bien con algunos cambios que han afectado tanto a las modalidades contempladas de los trabajos de los concursantes como a la periodicidad de la convocatoria, se han venido celebrando desde el año 1975. En la modalidad de Investigación educativa se han concedido 8 premios y en la modalidad de Tesis Doctorales 10.
