Energy Modeling
In 1973, a seminar was held by Resources for the Future to bring together the new and growing community of scholars researching into the general field of energy modelling. Originally published in the same year, this report gathers together all of the papers presented at that seminar in order to further spread the results of these studies with those who were unable to attend. The papers cover a full range of techniques used for energy modelling whilst commenting on current government and industry models. This title will be of interest to students of Environmental Studies.

The National Clean Energy Fund of India
The National Clean Energy Fund (NCEF), announced in the Government of India’s Budget 2010-11, is seen as a major step in India's quest for energy security and reducing the carbon intensity of energy. Funding research and innovative projects in clean energy technologies, and harnessing renewable energy sources to reduce dependence on fossil fuels constitute the objectives of the NCEF. The NCEF’s utilization of funds is considered to be rather low and disbursements poorly aligned with the fund’s stated objectives, thus posing a potential risk of diluting the focus of NCEF with adverse implications for the much-needed research and innovation in the clean energy sector in India. Second Annual Asia–Pacific Dialogue on Clean Energy Governance, Policy and Regulation
Under the auspices of the Second Annual Asia–Pacific Dialogue on Clean Energy Governance, Policy, and Regulation, the Energy Efficiency Workshop was held on 20–21 June 2011 at the Asian Development Bank. The workshop—whose proceedings are documented in this publication prepared under the Law and Policy Reform Program of the Office of the General Counsel—focused on addressing the slow uptake of energy efficiency solutions by identifying the political, governance, and financial constraints in implementing energy efficiency solutions, and considering innovative policy, regulatory, and financial remedies for overcoming these constraints.
Second Asia–Pacific Dialogue on Clean Energy Governance, Policy, and Regulation
Under the auspices of the Second Annual Asia–Pacific Dialogue on Clean Energy Governance, Policy, and Regulation, the Special Roundtable to Develop a Regional Plan of Action for Clean Energy Governance, Policy, and Regulation was held on 24 June 2011 at the Asian Development Bank. This publication provides (i) overviews of the key development strategies on clean energy policy and regulatory priorities for Asia and the Pacific discussed during the roundtable, and (ii) discussions and commitments that can guide stakeholders in understanding the region’s capacity building needs; and presents ideas for better clean energy implementation strategies within their own jurisdictions.
Inaugural Asia-Pacific Dialogue on Clean Energy Governance, Policy, and Regulation
