This book is written in response to an initiative to boost research at University of Darussalam Gontor (UNIDA), Ponorogo. All the chapters in this book have been written by the lecturers of the Department of International Relations at UNIDA Gontor. Although there is no unified theme that links the ten chapters, the book strives in its entirety to reflect globalization from the three sub-areas of the discipline of International Relations, namely: Security Studies, Business and International Political Economy, and Diplomacy with the primary focus of analysis from Islamic perspective.

Managing Educational Tourism

"New media and development of gender roles: law, social, and economic perspective.” This theme was raised as an effort to observe the development of new technology that has greatly affected people’s lives. Formerly to seek information, people can get it through conventional radio media, newspapers and television. But now only use the smartphone we can get very much information that can be obtained by accessing the online media portal or sharing and socializing through social media. For decades it has been stated that the media has the power to shape public opinion. Media not only can form a “worldview” of society, but also able to create awareness and individual belief in reality; a reality that has been defined by the media. Media has a powerful and direct effect to the audience (market). Including how then the media formed an opinion in the community about gender roles through the content provided by the new media. Reservoir Compartmentalization
"Reservoir compartmentalization - the segregation of a petroleum accumulation into a number of individual fluid/pressure compartments - controls the volume of moveable oil or gas that might be connected to any given well drilled in a field, and consequently impacts 'booking' of reserves and operational profitability. This is a general feature of modern exploration and production portfolios, and has driven major developments in geoscience, engineering and related technology. Given that compartmentalization is a consequence of many factors, an integrated subsurface approach is required to better understand and predict compartmentalization behaviour, and to minimize the risk of it occurring unexpectedly.
