Autonomic Networking
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First International IFIP TC6 Conference on Autonomic Networking, AN 2006. The 24 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in the book. The papers are organized in topical sections on autonomic networks, self-configuration, autonomic platform and services, autonomic management and discovery policy-based management, ad hoc, sensor and ambient autonomic networks, and autonomic control of mobile networks.
Autonomic Networks
As the Internet becomes larger and larger, and consequently more difficult to control and to manage, telecommunication operators, manufacturers and companies require tools to perform management and control tasks. A large number of tools coming from different areas have been proposed, but these are not sufficient to handle an evolving and dynamic environment. This book presents and explains all the techniques which integrate a certain level of intelligence (through intelligent software agents for example) in order to represent knowledge, take appropriate decisions, communicate with other entities and achieve a self-managing network.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Third International Conference on Autonomous Infrastructure, Management and Security, AIMS 2009, held in Enschede, The Netherlands, during June 30 - July 2, 2009 under the auspices of IFIP. The 12 revised full papers and three short papers presented together with 8 papers of the AIMS PhD workshop were carefully reviewed and selected from 28 submissions to the main conference and 15 papers for the PhD workshop respectively. Wireless and Mobile Networking
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Second IFIP WG 6.8 Joint Conference on Wireless and Mobile Networking, WMNC 2009, held in Gdansk, Poland, in September 2009. The 30 thoroughly revised papers presented together with one invited talk were selected from 65 submissions.
