This ten-year supplement lists 10,000 titles acquired by the Library of Congress since 1976--this extraordinary number reflecting the phenomenal growth of interest in genealogy since the publication of Roots. An index of secondary names contains about 8,500 entries, and a geographical index lists family locations when mentioned.
John Figg, Sr. was born in Virginia between 1740 and 1750 and died about 1839 in Nelson Co., Ky. His second wife was Elizabeth Mitchell (ca. 1770-1852) who was born in Maryland. They had a family of 14, but part could have been from former marriages. Descendants and relatives lived chiefly in Virginia and Kentucky.
Lewis Jones was born in England or Wales about 1602. He married Anna Stone and they had five children. About 1635 they came to America and settled in Massachusetts. Information on several lines of their descendants are traced to the present time. Currently descendants live in New Mexico, Michigan, Illinois, and elsewhere.
