This study outlines the major changes in the economy of South Vietnam during the period 1964 through 1967. Despite the adversity of the war and the political and economic uncertainties which followed from it, the South Vietnamese economy, buttressed by massive US aid, moved ahead at a rapid pace in the four year period.
