Intellectual Property Rights

Any product of human intelligence, whether artistic, literary, technological, or scientific, falls under the umbrella of intellectual property (IP). IPR stands for "intellectual property rights," which legal protections are given to an innovator to safeguard their creation. For a certain amount of time, these protections provide the original creator or producer of a product the right to profit solely from sales of that product. Legal protections ensure that only the owner of an IP may profit from its use in any commercial context without the permission of the public. Trade secrets, patents, utility models, geographical indications, trademarks, integrated circuit layout design, industrial des...

Plant Pathology and Plant Diseases

One of the most important subfields of agriculture and horticulture, plant pathology, has grown and taken on new dimensions during the last three decades. Fulfilling the long-felt need of pathologists and students for comprehensive book on fundamentals of plant pathology is a source of great joy and happiness for us. This book will undoubtedly be useful for the young, asporing, budding plant pathology imaginations to take up subject with confidence because it presents the fundamentals of fungi, bacteria, viruses, classifications, and principles of the plant pathology in a condensed form that is easily understood by undergradure students. Plant pathology is study of the living things and envi...

Introduction To Plants Pathology

Plant pathology is study of the living organisms and environmental factors which cause disease in plants, as well as the mechanisms through which these factors cause disease in plants, the interaction between the disease-causing agents and diseased plants, and the methods for preventing disease, reducing damage it causes, or attempting to control disease either before it develops in a plant. The majority of plant diseases are caused by biotic organisms. The majority of plant diseases are triggered by fungus, bacteria, phytoplasmas, viruses, viroids, nematodes, and parasitic higher plants. Non-infectious factors are what produce abiotic disorders. Disorders may have an almost infinite number of causes, although the majority of them are caused by factors. Factors include air pollution, high winds, hail, incorrect cultural practices, and extremes of temperature, humidity, light, nutrients, pesticides, alkalinity/alkalinity. saltiness, soil texture, and pesticide toxicity. The damage resulting from insect assaults and competition from noxious plants (weeds) are additional problems. Plant pathology studies often do not include plant damage from humans, other animals, or insects.

This proceedings book gathers the latest achievements and trends in research and development in educational robotics from the 10th International Conference on Robotics in Education (RiE), held in Vienna, Austria, on April 10–12, 2019. It offers valuable methodologies and tools for robotics in education that encourage learning in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) through the design, creation and programming of tangible artifacts for creating personally meaningful objects and addressing real-world societal needs. It also discusses the introduction of technologies ranging from robotics platforms to programming environments and languages and presents extensive evaluations that highlight the impact of robotics on students’ interests and competence development. The approaches included cover the entire educative range, from the elementary school to the university level in both formal and informal settings.

The advances in low-power electronic devices integrated with wireless communication capabilities are one of recent areas of research in the field of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). One of the major challenges in WSNs is uniform and least energy dissipation while increasing the lifetime of the network. This is the first book that introduces the energy efficient wireless sensor network techniques and protocols. The text covers the theoretical as well as the practical requirements to conduct and trigger new experiments and project ideas. The advanced techniques will help in industrial problem solving for energy-hungry wireless sensor network applications.

Atypical Parkinsonian Disorders

A comprehensive review of what is known not only about the cause and treatment of atypical parksonian disorders, but also the issues that clinicians, researchers, patients, and caregivers face in dealing with them. The authors cover the basic science (history, epidemiology, genetics, pathology, nosology, computer modeling, and animal models), detailed clinical and laboratory assessments, and available diagnostic tools, including neuropsychiatric, neurologic, neuropsychologic, speech, electrophysiologic, and imaging evaluations. Current and future therapeutic approaches are also detailed, along with extensive discussions about future research directions.

Genetic Diversity in Plants

For the last eighteen years we have been deeply involved in a cooperative effort with our Latin American colleagues in genetics, biochemistry, physiology, and molecular biology. We have been in close contact with scientists in a number of centers and have helped to organize symposia, workshops, and so forth, in an effort to accelerate their development and make their substantial work known. These symposia in Latin America have been quite successful. The fifteenth will take place in Brasilia in 1977. At the request of colleagues, we are in the process of developing a similar series in Asia. The first very successful symposium was held in Calcutta in 1973. We were most pleased when Dr. Amir Mu...
