Academic Dependency and Professionalization in the South

La filosofía de la educación en el pensamiento educativo del Dr. Fidel Castro: (1945-1981)
La obra contribuye a la teoría de la filosofía de la educación en Cuba en tanto determina las influencias principales, las etapas y los períodos del proceso de formación de la filosofía de la educación de Fidel entre 1945 y 1981; ofrece una sistematización de su filosofía de la educación y establece la contribución que realizó a la teoría de dicha ciencia en Cuba durante esos años. En el primer capítulo se determinan las principales influencias en el proceso de formación de su proyecto sociopolítico y la filosofía de la educación. En el segundo capítulo se ofreció la periodización, sistematización y contribución de la personalidad que se estudia a la filosofía de la educación en Cuba. Se realizó una consulta minuciosa de 542 discursos del líder revolucionario cubano entre 1959 y 1981 relacionados con la educación, a través de los cuales se develó su filosofía de la educación. Fueron analizadas las obras y compilaciones que abordan las ideas esenciales de su pensamiento educativo en los años objeto de estudio. Además, el estudio de la personalidad en su contexto requirió de literatura de carácter histórico, testimonial y biográfico.
