Nazah

As an original team member of STURP (The Shroud of Turin Research Project, Inc.) who were given the rare opportunity to intricately examine and test the shroud, Dr. Kenneth Stevenson brings forth his fourth treatise on the subject with intriguing new perspective. NAZAH offers an outlook on the Shroud of Turin that looks at both the vast amount of clear, scientific research and evidence, and the heart of the Holy Scriptures. Joined with historical fact, prophetic confirmation, Judaic burial customs and personal reflection, the mystery of the shroud of a crucified Jewish man, whose image was left to be seen, is now brought forth to inspire and challenge a new generation of truth seekers. With additional discussions of the relic’s historical and spiritual significance, NAZAH will touch the hearts of not only those of Jewish faith, but the hearts of people of all faiths who seek deeper meaning as to what the Shroud of Turin means to today’s generation.

From 1978 to 1981 a well-equipped group of twenty five American scientists formed the Shread of Turin Research Project (STURP). Thousands of hours were spent conducting the most extensive tests ever performed on a historical artifact. The official spokesperson for the group was former U.S. Air force Captain, and pastor/teacher, Dr. Kenneth E. Stevenson. Millions of Christians became intensely interested in the Shroud when photographs of the negative image were published in books, magazines and news papers all over the world. -- Dr. Stevenson previously co-authored the international best selling title, Verdict on the Shroud. His new book, Image of the Risen Christ, discusses the mysterious hi...

Dr. Hyde and Mr. Stevenson

Dr. Hyde and Mr. Stevenson is a biography of the Rev. Dr. Charles McEwen Hyde, one of the most influential Americans in 19th century Hawaii. What manner of man was this Dr. Hyde? He was a truly good example of the New England-bred, community-minded leader who throughout the course of several generations formulated the pattern we speak of as "the American way." What role did he play in the history of Hawaii? He was very influential in setting up of the Kamehameha Schools, the Bishop Museum, and various other institutions sponsored by the philanthropist Charles Reed Bishop. He was a major force behind the establishment of the Hawaiian Historical Society, a moving spirit in the development of the Library of Hawaii, and the founder of the Social Science Association in 1882 for which he served as secretary for seventeen years. Also included is a discussion of the open letter of Robert Louis Stevenson.

Stevenson's Heraldry in Scotland (1914) is the most authoritative and most readable modern treatise on the legal and administrative aspects of Scots heraldry and a must for the serious student of the subject. Unfortunately, it is hard to find except at great expense in antiquarian bookshops and on specialist websites. This new edition brings a classic of the field to a new audience at a reasonable price. The two volumes have been amalgamated into one, and slight rearrangements made, but the contents follow almost exactly the Maclehose Glasgow edition. The several colour illustrations could not be reproduced here except as half-tones, but are available for download at www.brucedurie.co.uk/books.htm. John Horne Stevenson MBE, KStJ, KC (1855-1939), was an advocate and genealogical lawyer. Bruce Durie BSc(Hons) PhD FSAScot FCollT FIGRS FHEA OMLJ is a Scottish genealogist, author, broadcaster and lecturer.
