SInopsis : Ketahanan pangan bagi suatu Negara merupakan hal yang sangat penting, terutama bagi Negara yang mempunyai jumlah penduduk sangat banyak seperti Indonesia. Jumlah penduduk Indonesia mencapai 210 juta jiwa pada tahun 2002 dan diperkirakan akan menjadi sekitar 213,9 juta jiwa tahun 2003, 220 juta jiwa pada tahun 2020 (Saragih, 1998) dan diproyeksikan 270 juta jiwa pada tahun 2025 (Napitupulu dalam Wibowo, 2000). Dikemukakan lebih lanjut bahwa pengalaman sejarah pembangunan Indonesia, menunjukkan bahwa masalah ketahanan pangan sangat erat kaitannya dengan stabilitas ekonomi (khususnya inflasi), biaya produksi ekonomi agregat ( biaya hidup ) dan stabilitas politik nasional. Pada era otonomi daerah, pembangunan ekonomi menghadapi berbagai tantangan, baik dari dalam daerah (faktor internal) maupun luar daerah (faktor eksternal), seperti masalah kesenjangan dan isu globalisasi. Isu globalisasi ini menuntut tiap daerah untuk mampu bersaing di dalam dan luar negeri. Kesenjangan dan globalisasi berimplikasi kepada Provinsi dan Kabupaten/Kota, untuk melaksanakan percepatan pembangunan ekonomi daerah secara terfokus melalui pengembangan kawasan dan produk unggulannya. Percepatan pembangunan ekonomi ini bertujuan agar daerah tidak tertinggal dalam persaingan pasar bebas, seraya tetap memperhatikan masalah pengurangan kesenjangan. Oleh karena itu, seluruh pelaku memiliki peran mengisi pembangunan ekonomi daerah dan harus mampu bekerjasama melalui bentuk pengelolaan keterkaitan antar urusan, antar sektor, antar program, antar pelaku dan antar daerah (Bappenas, 2006).

The 2nd International Conference of Multidisciplinary Studies (ICMS) was held on July 12, 2023 in Semarang, Indonesia.
