ENGLISH FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING
English for Civil Engineering is written to fulfill students' needs to learn English for Specific Purposes. This book is designed to provide an opportunity for the students to develop their English skills more communicatively and meaningfully. It consists of twenty eight units. Each unit presents reading, writing, and speaking section. Reading section consists of pre-reading, reading comprehension, and vocabulary exercises related to the topic of the text. In writing section, some structure and sentence patterns are completed with guided writing exercises. Meanwhile, in speaking section students are provided with models and examples followed by practical activities which are presented in various ways. The materials have been arranged and graded in accordance with their language levels. Above all, to improve the quality of this textbook, criticisms and suggestions for better editions are highly appreciated.

Tanggung Jawab Pidana Kontaraktor Atas Kegagalan Bangunan
Dalam teori hukum, yang dimaksud dengan subjek hukum adalah yang berhak atas hak-hak subjektif yaitu orang atau manusia. Sehingga dalam ajaran pertanggungjawaban pidana, hanya orang atau manusia yang dapat dimintakan pertanggungjawaban atas tindak pidana. Sementara korporasi, dengan adanya asas universitas delinquere non potest (korporasi tidak dapat dipidana) tidak dapat dipertanggungjawabkan dalam hal melakukan tindak pidana. Tetapi dengan adanya perluasan subjek hukum tindak pidana atau pergeseran pembuat tindak pidana dari “fysieke dader” ke “functionele dader” maka korporasi dapat dimintakan pertanggungjawaban atas tindak pidana yang dilakukannya.

Penyebabnya volume panen durian musang king makin banyak. Musim panen buah sejak Juni dan berlangsung hingga Desember. Pekebun durian di Pahang, Malaysia, itu menyeleksi buat berdasarkan bobot, bentuk buah, serta kondisi duri dan kulit buah. William membawa buah lolos seleksi ke bangunan seluas 2.500m2. Posisi bangunan itu di dekat dengan kebun. Di dalamnya terdapat ruangan dan peralatan untuk membekukan buah durian utuh beserta kulit dengan nitrogen cair. Proses pembekuan selama 2 jam dalam suhu minus 110c. Mesin pembeku berkapasitas 1 ton buah. Buah-buah durian beku itulah yang dikirim William ke pasar Tiongkok
