It Happened in Zihuatanejo
Our story opens in February 2006 with Andrew, an artist from Atlanta, coming to the house on the SW coast of Mexico that he and his partner had built. Andrew is mourning the death of his partner, Jacob, in May 2005. Soon after arriving, a great storm occurs. The next day, Andrew finds a man washed up on the beach and helps him to his house, so he has time to recover and rest. His name is Armando. They spend time sharing their life stories and a closeness begins to build between them. But for Armando, there is a problem. He realizes something extraordinary has happened to him but he has great difficulty and reluctance to explain it to Andrew. It weighs heavily on his mind. Then, an event occurs that changes both of their lives forever.
Saying Goodbye
Who could have ever known that the night anxiety attacks for Jeremy Todd, an up-and-coming artist living in New York City, were beginning at the same time a strange and unusual ancient tomb was opened in Amarna, Egypt? This would bring the worlds of art, archeology and psychiatry together in a most unexpected way. To try and remedy these events, Jeremy seeks the help of a psychiatrist who by using hypnotic regression takes Jeremy through four major past lives. These experiences inspire him to do over thirty major paintings which would end up in a one-man show at a New York art gallery. His paintings would create a huge uproar in society due to their subject matter and their stories. It would also change his life forever.
The Legend of Cavenaugh Island
An artist from Atlanta goes to the coast of Maine to paint the landscapes and seascapes. The local bartender tells him about an island about two miles offshore where there is an old deserted mansion. He explains that no one ever goes to the island because everyone believes it is cursed and haunted by the ghost of the original owner. That’s when he tells of the legend of the island. After several visits to the island and starting a painting of the mansion, he begins to have dreams about the original owner, who is the ghost that inhabits the house. In the dreams, the ghost shows him the secret of the house. He doesn’t realize it but finding and understanding the secret reveals the true history of the house and it completely changes his life.
The Quake
Josh Logan has come on his vacation to the house he and his late partner had built on the SW coast of Mexico. A localized earthquake the day after he arrives creates a situation where Fate and Destiny step in and completely turn his life upside down. He doesn’t realize what has actually happened until he discovers information regarding his neighbor, Enrique Salvador, and the delema Enrique is facing. Somehow, he knows he must take action to try and prevent a major disaster from happening. With every step forward, there are stumbling blocks in the way that he must deal with. He has no idea that the entire event will completely change his life forever.
Island of the Portal
It is January 2014 and Mark Lancaster has come to his retirement house on the SW coast of Mexico for his two-week vacation. While there, he decides to take his sailboat out for a leisurely trip out to sea. Arriving some twenty miles out, the wind stops blowing which is very strange to Mark. He continues to watch toward the shore to make sure he is not in danger of being run over by a cargo ship heading to the port of Lázaro Cárdenas. After a little while, the wind picks up again. Mark happens to turn, looking farther out to sea and sees an island several miles out. He had never seen it on any maps or Google Earth. His curiosity gets the best of him and he decides to sail to the island to check it out. Little does he realize the consequences of making that decision. It was going to completely change his entire life.
Saving Yesterday
Michael Groves, an artist from Atlanta, goes for two weeks to a secluded but very expensive and elegant hotel in the western mountains of North Carolina to paint the scenery there. While there, he meets Jonathan Wolfe, who lives in a pavilion close to the hotel and they begin what turns out to be a very close friendship. About a week and a half later, Jonathan leaves for New York on an important business trip that will take him to Europe. They plan to meet again when he returns. Paul, the hotel’s concierge, ends up showing Michael an old newspaper, hanging in the hotel office which alerts Michael to an unbelievable understanding about Jonathan, sending him on a life-and-death quest. He knows he must accomplish this quest even though by doing so, it will change his life forever.
The Rings of Sodom
Ethan Trendeau, a concert pianist, and his partner, Shawn McAllister, an architect, leave their New York City apartment and buy a turn-of-the-century Victorian house on the coast of Maine. It is located north of Portland and south of Bar Harbor. After doing some research on the house, they realize it has a strange history. Everyone refers to it as the ‘Haunted House’. Little did anyone really know how strange until they discover a hidden room in the basement. Hank Morris, a carpenter and plumber from town, helps them open a bricked-up doorway to the room. After removing the bricks, they enter the room and discover a horrifying sight. None of them had any idea the Pandora Box they had just opened and the terror that was released.

Two Portraits in Oil
This story is about an artist from Atlanta who goes on a month-long summer vacation to the coast of Maine to paint the ocean. Over a week before leaving, he starts having continuous realistic dreams where he is back in the late 1800s and meets a fisherman there while studying with the famous American seascape artist, Winslow Homer. The dreams continue during his vacation. Little did he realize how these dreams would affect his present life until he sees an oil portrait painted in 1901. At that moment, his life is changed forever.
The Stranger from the Sea
The main character in this story is an architect and artist. Several visits to local carnivals, beginning when he was ten, lead him to a gypsy fortune teller, telling him about his future and his Destiny with the sea. While in college, he becomes best friends with his roommate, Nick, who remains a best friend into the future. They both end up getting property by the ocean on the SW coast of Mexico where they build their vacation houses. On one of their visits, little did they realize how an encounter with a stranger from the sea would change their lives forever.
