Durante um mês, a poeta Ana Martins Marques alugou o apartamento do amigo e também poeta Eduardo Jorge, que viajara para a França. O imóvel fica na região centro-sul de Belo Horizonte, no edifício JK, projetado por Oscar Niemeyer em 1952. Enquanto viveu ali, a inquilina trocou e-mails com o locador. As mensagens, de início, abordavam questões meramente práticas. Mas, depois, se converteram em uma troca de poemas sobre o permanecer e o partir, o morar e o exilar-se, o familiar e o estranho.
