Esta dissertação tem como finalidade Identificar de que forma os assistentes sociais vêm articulando à Dimensão Técnico-operativa com as Dimensões Ético-política e Teórico-metodológica no seu cotidiano profissional. Aponta-se que, dentre os fatores que se apresentam como dificuldade para superação da falácia de que teoria e prática são dissociadas, está o próprio processo formativo que ainda não conseguiu romper com o ranço conservador de uma educação bancária, e por outro lado, o próprio perfil do estudante que chega à faculdade com valores, conceitos ético/morais e culturais previamente estabelecidos. Ressaltamos entre os fatores que dificultam o processo de formação e que influenciam profissionais a assumirem uma postura profissional acrítica ou pouco reflexiva, que geram um hiato entre teoria e prática: as condições de vida, as relações sociais estabelecidas, a forma de apreensão da realidade social, os fatores econômicos, as correlações de força que acontecem na sociedade em geral e dentro dos espaços de trabalho dos assistentes sociais, assim como as próprias condições de trabalho destes profissionais.,
