Book on Christian Spirituality This is a book of poems on Christian spirituality as response to personal crises in life, woes and struggles of women, natural calamities, violence and terror. This book expresses poetic sensitivity to some events in our history that reflect conflicts in culture, religion and ideologies. This is spirituality from the eyes of faith, attempting to read the signs of our time in the light of the source of love and life that has called us to be responsible stewards as we commit ourselves to acts of love, compassion, peace and justice. These poems were written during my time as a student, teacher, pastor, ecumenical and community worker in the Philippines, as a missionary in Nepal, teacher, wife, mother, and as a cultural worker in Denmark, stretching a period of more than twenty years. I offer this book of poems to those who seek life, to those who despair, and to those who want to be inspired. Christian spirituality is in the human heart in its encounter with the wounded and resurrected Christ. In celebrating beauty and human creativity, I have illustrated some poems with my own paintings done during my integration process as a foreigner in Denmark. (EPO)

Some of the great literary works such as the Bible and Indian epics, among others, provide society with the guiding principles of life. Works by poets have always entertained their readers and will continue to do so. The Lord of the Rings, The Godfather, A Tale of Two Cities, Harry Potter, and James Bond have been among the best-selling books of all time for many generations. While some literary and poetic works carry life lessons, many others make us think. Some works are known for the sheer entertainment they provide, while others intrigue. Many works of literature establish a strong connection with their audience through the stories they tell or the message they convey. Readers tend to associate themselves with the emotions described in these works and participate emotionally. Literature therefore has a profound impact on the minds of readers and, in turn, on their lives! A Melody Called Africa reminds the human society that strong and integrated works of literature and art can improve our lives and answer the big weary questions of the mankind.

Diann L. Neu's earliest childhood memories are intertwined with the blessings of the Earth. She grew up interacting passionately with nature and first came to know God through the rhythms of the seasons. She writes, Nature taught me about the Divine and prayer. The book probes the interrelatedness of ecology and feminism. Neu vividly describes how ecofeminism values women and nature and seeks to resist their associated exploitation and domination. Using the framework of the four seasons, she presents sixteen liturgies designed to celebrate the sacred power that originates and emanates from the Earth.Neu prompts readers to reflect on issues of ecojustice and invites participants to pray and work for the healing of the Earth and freeing all creation from the devastation of racism, colonialism, classism, and gender privilege.
