Convivence
Convivence is a new word in English. Its root comes from the Spanish word “Convivencia”, emerging in the 12th century. During the year 2004, the French Academy included it in its Dictionary (“convivance”). It means a situation where different communities and human groups live together, maintaining neighborliness, harmony, and exchanging relations. The Bounds of Myth
The articles in The Bounds of Myth, edited by Gustavo Esparza and Nassim Bravo, shed light on the internal shapes of the mythological discourse, showing the way in which myth borders religion, science, literature, theology, i.e., other forms of rationality. The contributing authors of the volume claim that myth is a valid form of thought and that the former evolves within other forms of discourse, even though its composition is independent and even precedes the latter. The articles collected here demonstrate the importance of myth as a form of thought that is in constant development, a feature that shows in turn that in spite of its remote and archaic origin, myth remains a valuable and relevant tool to interpret our own culture. O passado e o futuro do finalismo no Direito Penal
O presente trabalho é composto por um conjunto de textos inéditos em língua portuguesa, que expõe de forma minuciosa, por um lado, a influência do sistema finalista sobre o desenvolvimento da dogmática do Direito Penal contemporâneo, no sentido de um legado deixado por esta gigantesca construção, e, por outro lado, apresenta seus défices e fragilidades, de modo a evidenciar a sua insuficiência na solução dos casos concretos, o que culminou na sua superação no plano alemão, e, do mesmo modo, aponta a necessidade premente de sua superação de lege ferenda no plano brasileiro.

Aquest volum recull els dinou textos que es presentaren a les Jornades Internacionals Lul·lianes «Ramon Llull al Segle XXI», celebrades a Palma durant els dies 1, 2 i 3 d’abril de 2004 i que comptaren amb l’aportació d’investigadors d’arreu, que difongueren els seus treballs de recerca més recents: què diu Ramon Llull sobre el sexe, la geometria o la quadratura del cercle, les variacions entorn del concepte lul·lià de «matèria» o l’aportació d’un nou manuscrit lul·lista són algunes de les propostes incloses. Les presentam seguint la divisió de «conferència inaugural i de clausura», «ponències» i comunicacions» respectant l’ordre alfabètic dels cognoms dels autors. L’abril de 2004 feia tot just un any que la recuperada Càtedra Ramon Llull havia iniciat la tasca de difusió de la vida i obra del savi mallorquí (1232-1316). Després d’una trentena llarga d’anys, les Jornades suposaren que Mallorca fos novament seu internacional de projecció lul·liana, la plataforma per difondre els estudis sobre Ramon Llull, així com la vida i obra del pensador medieval.
