Context and Complexity
An original view of interdisciplinary thinking and its applications is given in this book. It aims to help the reader develop a contextual way to understand and act in complex situations. The book is based on a G-type principle: heterogenetic, interactive and pattern-generating. Each chapter is not only interdisciplinary, but also contextual and relational. They correspond to each of the six ways of cultivating contextual understanding. Five of the chapters give concrete examples; three of them center on examples from business management. This is because business management has become a frontier of complexity requiring contextual thinking; it is useful epistemologically to those in the humanities, social and natural sciences. The sixth chapter theoretically summarizes all the concrete examples.

This book focuses on a prototype of creative causal processes termed BIOS and how the concept can be applied to the physical world, in medicine and in social science. This book presents methods for identifying creative features in empirical data; studies showing biotic patterns in physical, biological, and economic processes; mathematical models of bipolar (positive and negative) feedback that generate biotic patterns. These studies support the hypothesis that natural processes are creative (not determined) and causal (not random) and that bipolar feedback plays a major role in their evolution. Simple processes precede, coexist, constitute and surround the complex systems they generate (priority of the simple). Comprehending the Complexity of Countries

Estamos ante un aporte original al conocimiento de un ciclo histórico que se inició en la Argentina con el golpe de Estado de 1955 y finalizó con la interrupción de la democracia constitucional de 1976, seguida por el genocidio que alcanzó a las fuerzas estudiantiles que este período vio nacer y florecer. Estos años, marcados por una gran conflictividad social que ocasionó una creciente inestabilidad política, conforman uno de los grandes debates actuales de la ciencia social argentina y suscitan en general un inmenso interés político, como lo pone en evidencia la creciente producción testimonial y periodística que se indaga por estas décadas.
