Earth—In the Beginning

With a background in the physical sciences, Dr. Eric Skousen has produced a stunning account of the creation of the earth from the findings of earth scientists and the teachings of the Lord’s prophets. At last, many unanswered questions about the earth’s creation can be resolved with confidence. For example, how long did it take? Where did it take place? What about evolution, fossils, dinosaurs and cave men? Well-supported answers are here. For those who have been challenged to explain the earth’s creation from an LDS viewpoint, this book will be helpful and enlightening. And for those who enjoy contemplating both the discoveries of science and the revelations of God, this book will be...

The Nuclear War

This book is dedicated to the innocent victims of the nuclear war—to those who are dead, are dying, and will die because we have not aggressively exercised our nuclear option. It is also dedicated to those whose minds are filled with myths about nuclear energy, in the hope that this book will shed some light into the shadows of their mind-set. This book encourages the use of nuclear power to increase America’s energy capacity and also decrease her dependence on foreign oil. “The message that the book carries is not only true, but it is obvious. It is not only obvious, it is interesting; and not only obvious and interesting, but convincing for anyone whose mind leaves at least one crack open through which new and correct ideas may enter. This book should be read by all who want to diminish suffering and avoid conflict, by those who want to make real peace more probable.” —Edward Teller. Readers have commented: “I had no idea that Chernobyl was not so much an ‘accident’ as sheer socialist incompetence.” “I’ve never understood the ‘non-problem’ of the nuclear waste before.” “Now radiation doesn’t worry me so much. I understand it.”

Discovering Your Divine Identity

Dale, I read the chapter tying Chinese peoples to Hebrew origins through Joktan. It was most interesting and fairly convincing. I was particularly struck by the figure on a throne or chair that was found in both China and Egypt. Wow! That is a tremendous tying figure. Thanks for sharing. ~ John K. Carmack, Attorney, LDS Emeritus General Authority Los Angeles and Salt Lake City Dale, I read your paper about eternal man. It is profound and mind boggling. You have done a lot of research and have thought deeply about the subject. Are you going to publish it? I think most of us have little idea who we really are. The discussion about DNA is very compelling. Thank you so much for sharing such deep...

Balancing God, Science, and Technology in the End Times

It is critical in this day of discovery and augmented scientific knowledge that we come to an accurate balance of understanding between foundational science and foundational religion. We are facing a technology that is moving at enormous speed. We need to understand the precarious status of humans as we enter and live through the future technology era that is upon us. Humanity could be negatively affected by technology either unintentionally or by design. As we move forward, ethical and moral decisions will be confronted as to how we manage AI (artificial intelligence) robots, avatars, and the huge data-gathering process associated with the tech industries being formulated at this moment. Co...

Many events led to the discovery, colonization, and formation of this new country called the United States. Columbus declared that the Holy Ghost inspired him to make that incredible voyage in 1492. In America, those that came were Pilgrims, puritans other religious groups, families, individuals, and freedom seekers. Men and women like Roger Williams, John Wesley, Anne Hutchinson, Ann Lee and William Penn helped create a land that had been reserved for the great purpose of religious freedom. In 1820 Joseph Smith experienced the First Vision which would change the religious climate forever. In 1830 the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was organized and has now expanded to most of the world. This story is about one man, John Pilgrim, who started on a journey to find the true meaning and purpose of life. On his journey he meets a Guide who helps him at various times to discover the meaning of his experience and understanding of the different characters and situations he encounters.

This book has been written to my posterity so that they can learn of my thoughts and philosophy. It is not written with any order in mind, it's just a collection of some of the thoughts that are important to me and will give the reader a glimpse of how I think and express my feelings. The reader will even find three of my stories I made up while I was traveling around Switzerland sitting in the back seat with my Grandchildren. I included them in this book because my granddaughter Brooke ask me to. She was one of those who originally heard the stories. Besides I liked them and when I remember or re-read them It reminds me of a joyful time in my life.
