Zotero merupakan salah satu aplikasi manajemen referensi yang saat ini paling banyak digunakan, dan direkomendasikan di kalangan akademisi. Aplikasi ini sangat handal dalam mengelola referensi ilmiah, yang saat ini didominasi oleh koleksi elektronik. Aplikasi ini mudah digunakan, dan tidak berbayar, serta menerapkan sumber terbuka (open source).
