The Ethnic Studies Library
This is the homepage of the Ethnic Studies Library of University of California, Berkeley. There are links to the Ethnic Studies Library, Asian American Studies Collections, Chicano Studies Collections, Native American Studies Collections, Comparative Ethnic Studies Collections, Ethnic Studies Library Publications Unit as well as other general information about the Library. The Library also houses a Chinese American Research Collection that includes Chinese American documents in Chinese and English such as letters, diaries, minutes, personal papers, bylaws of Chinese American organizations, manuscripts, etc. It keeps a special file of Asian American community newspapers in Chinese, Japanese, and English available in the United States from the late nineteenth century to the present. There is a slide collection on Asian American history and posters by Asian American artists of community events.
