Diskreter Maskulinismus
Der Band gibt einen einzigartigen Einblick in das Gesamtwerk von Eva Kreisky, einer Pionierin der deutschsprachigen feministischen Politikwissenschaft. Bekannt ist sie vor allem für ihre Theoretisierung von Staat und Bürokratie als »Männerbund«. Methodisch hat sie vermeintlich allgemeine und (geschlechts-)neutrale Themen und Begriffe der Politik und Politikwissenschaft konsequent auf ihre androzentrischen Verkürzungen und maskulinistischen Einschreibungen hin befragt. Eva Kreiskys Werk befasst sich zentral mit den Konjunkturen demokratischer Entwicklung, den Möglichkeiten sozialer Demokratie einerseits, ihren Gefährdungen durch Maskulinismus, Neoliberalisierung oder Staatsschwächung andererseits. Die Textauswahl des Bandes orientiert sich an der Aktualität und Relevanz ihrer Zeitdiagnosen für die Gegenwart. So hat sich Eva Kreisky schon früh Gedanken über den Zusammenhang von neoliberaler Staatsschwächung und mafioser Staatlichkeit im post-sowjetischen Russland gemacht oder über den Aufstieg des Rechtspopulismus in Europa.
Geschlechterverhältnisse im Kontext politischer Transformation
Politisch und politikwissenschaftlich Selbstverständliches wird derzeit in mehrfacher Hinsicht herausgefordert: Globalisierung und Internationalisierung, Deregulierung und Verhandlungsstaat, Medialisierung und Intimisierung von Politik und schließlich Politikverdrossenheit sind Metaphern für politische "Entgrenzungsprozesse" am Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts. Geschlechterverhältnisse bilden ein integrales Element des hegemonialen politischen Arrangements der Moderne. Die Neustrukturierung von Geschlechterverhältnissen prägt nun auch ganz wesentlich aktuelle Transformationsprozesse: Die Neuverteilung von Arbeit ist ebenso geschlechtlich codiert wie das Projekt der Demokratisierung. Der Band artikuliert die vielfach implizite Geschlechtlichkeit politischer Prozesse und Institutionen, aber auch politikwissenschaftliche Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung in klassischen Bereichen der Politikwissenschaft. Sie präsentieren und problematisieren darüber hinaus das heuristische Potential der Geschlechterforschung im transformatorischen Kontext des Politischen.

In the case of Kosovo, in addition to the examination of the structures, this study examines the role of actors participating in these processes - local and international actors - and their potential alliances, coalitions and conflicts. Reframing Demographic Change in Europe
Demographic change in Europe has been a topic of great public and political interest since the 1990s. The central aim of this book is to create new questions for research by connecting the topics of demographic change, of the restructuring of the welfare state and of change in gender relations. The articles have a closer look at the interrelation of these social and political changes by highlighting different national situations as well as different theoretical and empirical aspects. They try to reframe the 'problem' of demographic change by analyzing it in the context of gender and welfare state transformations.
