Digital Libraries for Open Knowledge
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 24th International Conference on Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries, TPDL 2020, held in Lyon, France, in August 2020.* The 14 full papers and 4 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 53 submissions. TPDL 2020 attempts to facilitate establishing connections and convergences between diverse research communities such as Digital Humanities, Information Sciences and others that could benefit from ecosystems offered by digital libraries and repositories. The FRBR Family of Conceptual Models
Since 1998 when FRBR (Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records) was first published by IFLA, the effort to develop and apply FRBR has been extended in many innovative and experimental directions. Papers in this volume explain and expand upon the extended family of FRBR models including Functional Requirements for Authority Data (FRAD), Functional Requirements for Subject Authority Data (FRSAD), and the object-oriented version of FRBR known as FRBRoo. Readers will learn about dialogues between the FRBR Family and other modeling technologies, specific implementations and extensions of FRBR in retrieval systems, catalog codes employing FRBR, a wide variety of research that uses the FRBR model, and approaches to using FRBR for the Semantic Web. On the Move to Meaningful Internet Systems: OTM 2011
The two-volume set LNCS 7044 and 7045 constitutes the refereed proceedings of three confederated international conferences: Cooperative Information Systems (CoopIS 2011), Distributed Objects and Applications - Secure Virtual Infrastructures (DOA-SVI 2011), and Ontologies, DataBases and Applications of SEmantics (ODBASE 2011) held as part of OTM 2011 in October 2011 in Hersonissos on the island of Crete, Greece.
