Urban Transformations in the Late Antique West: Materials, Agents, and Models
This volume is the fruit of a highly productive international research gathering academic and professional (field- and museum) colleagues to discuss new results and approaches, recent finds and alternative theoretical assessments of the period of transition and transformation of classical towns in Late Antiquity. Experts from an array of modern countries attended and presented to help compare and contrast critically archaeologies of diverse regions and to debate the qualities of the archaeology and the current modes of study. While a number of papers inevitably focused on evidence available for both Spain and Portugal, we were delighted to have a spread of contributions that extended the picture to other territories in the Late Roman West and Mediterranean. The emphasis was very much on the images presented by archaeology (rescue and research works, recent and past), but textual data were also brought into play by various contributors.

Este livro reúne textos apresentados no evento internacional Quinta Semana de Estudos sobre o Período Helenístico: a Poética Calimaquiana e sua Influência na Poesia Epigramática, realizado na Faculdade de Filosofia Letras e Ciências Humanas e no Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia da Universidade de São Paulo, entre os dias 20 e 23 de setembro de 2017. Trata-se de uma coleção de artigos que discutem aspectos do programa poético defendido na obra supérstite de Calímaco e a influência que exerceram na criação dos epigramas literários a partir do século III a.C. Advances in Aspergillus fumigatus pathobiology
Aspergillus fumigatus is a human fungal pathogen that causes invasive aspergillosis (IA), a major infectious cause of death in the expanding population of immunocompromised individuals such as cancer patients and transplant recipients. The mortality of IA remains high (30-70%) and emerging resistance to triazoles, the first-line antifungal drug class, is of particular concern. Second-line therapies for IA are limited by their toxicity (polyenes) or their lack of fungicidal activity (echinocandins). A Produção Dramática no Período Helenístico e sua Influência na Literatura Greco‑Latina Posterior
Os textos reunidos neste livro foram apresentados na Sexta Semana de Estudos sobre o Período Helenístico: a Produção Dramática no Período Helenístico e sua Influência na Literatura Greco-Latina Posterior, realizada na Faculdade de Filosofia Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo, entre os dias 10 e 11 de março de 2020, e na Primeira Jornada de Estudos sobre o Período Helenístico: a Poesia Dramática, realizada na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, entre os dias 12 e 13 de abril de 2021. Ambos os eventos estão vinculados ao grupo de pesquisa Hellenistica, fundado em 2011 na Universidade de São Paulo com o objetivo de organizar periodicamente eventos voltados ao estudo da literatura do período helenístico, reunindo estudiosos brasileiros e estrangeiros que atuam nessa área.
