Archival collection, "The John Hamlin Miller and Frances Higbie Miller diaries and notebooks", consisting of about 150 bound vols. in 3 cubic feet. The Millers were residents of West Islip in Long Island, N.Y. Original materials, covering the period of May 14, 1851-Sept. 18, 1888, are various in size, format, and media, but all in very poor condition. The collection divided into three sub-groups and transcribed in 1930's into 8.5 X 11 inch size paper, using typewriter. Frances H. Miller diaries number 67 and cover from May 1861 to September 1888.
