This tale of vengeance begins when Rosalina Micco, the wife of federal appeals court Judge, Giovanni Micco, is murdered. The FBI conducts a cursory inquiry and quickly closes its file. Enraged, Judge Micco begins his own investigation and discovers that a cabal housed in the Pentagon contracted Rosalina's murder. As he inches closer to the killers, Judge Micco dies, leaving the mystery of his wife's murder to his son, Francesco. He soon learns that his father was writing a novel that connected his mother's murder to a lie the cabal intends to include in the President's State of the Union Address. As he maneuvers through the clues left by his father, Francesco is led to the eccentric leader of a secret society, The Rosecross, whose mission is to expose the lie being fed to Congress and the American people. He joins forces with The Rosecross, but his task is less patriotic. Francesco's charge is to kill the culprits responsible for his mother's murder -one by one.
Chuck Tanner and the Pittsburgh Pirates
