A collection of texts, historical and contemporary, on radical pedagogy in the arts. How do people learn, what do they know, and how does it influence their personality, their behavior, and their position in society? These questions were the focus of the research project and exhibition series entitled "Creativity Exercises" between 2014 and 2016, which displayed historical and contemporary art projects experimenting with alternative forms of learning, spanning three exhibition stations: Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst Leipzig, tranzit.hu in Budapest, and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Hat Kunst das Potential, politische Teilhabe zu fördern und lebendig zu halten? Im Auftrag der Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst lud Joanna Warsza die KünstlerInnen Alexandra Pirici, Pablo Helguera und Ulf Aminde nach Leipzig ein, um drei Projekte im öffentlichen und halböffentlichen Raum auszuprobieren: Pirici inszenierte eine choreografische Intervention im Völkerschlachtdenkmal, Helguera einen improvisierten Sprechchor und Aminde die Generalprobe eines Kunststreiks. Alle Arbeiten wurden in der Reihe "Performative Democracy" gezeigt, deren Titel dem gleichnamigen Buch der polnischen Soziologin Elzbieta Matynias entlehnt ist. Darin werden Personen als politisch handelnde Wesen beschrieben, die mit ihrem Agieren eine kollektive Tragweite erlangen.
