Die gewaltigen Fortschritte, die die Neurotraumatologie in den letzten Jahren gemacht hat, spiegeln sich in dem Umfang des Buches wider. Im Vordergrund der Abhandlung stehen die morphologischen Schäden, ein moderner Beitrag zur Neurotraumatologie der Schädelverletzungen kann jedoch heute nicht mehr ohne Einbeziehung biomechanischer und klinischer Aspekte geschrieben werden.
