When I first considered writing a book about multipliers, it was my intention to produce a moderate sized monograph which covered the theory as a whole and which would be accessible and readable to anyone with a basic knowledge of functional and harmonic analysis. I soon realized, however, that such a goal could not be attained. This realization is apparent in the preface to the preliminary version of the present work which was published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Mathematics, Volume 105, and is even more acute now, after the revision, expansion and emendation of that manuscript needed to produce the present volume. Consequently, as before, the treatment given in the following pages is...
A compendium of data on global change.
This volume represents the refereed proceedings of the Fifth International Conference on Finite Fields and Applications (F q5) held at the University of Augsburg (Germany) from August 2-6, 1999, and hosted by the Department of Mathematics. The conference continued a series of biennial international conferences on finite fields, following earlier conferences at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas (USA) in August 1991 and August 1993, the University ofGlasgow (Scotland) in July 1995, and the University ofWaterloo (Canada) in August 1997. The Organizing Committee of F q5 comprised Thomas Beth (University ofKarlsruhe), Stephen D. Cohen (University of Glasgow), Dieter Jungnickel (University of ...
Focusing on the theme of point counting and explicit arithmetic on the Jacobians of curves over finite fields the topics covered in this volume include Schoof's $\ell$-adic point counting algorithm, the $p$-adic algorithms of Kedlaya and Denef-Vercauteren, explicit arithmetic on the Jacobians of $C_{ab}$ curves and zeta functions.
INDOCRYPT 2001, the Second Annual Crypto Conference, is proof of the s- ni?cant amount of enthusiasm generated among Indian as well as International crypto communities. INDOCRYPT 2001 was organized by the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, also located in Madras (now Chennai). This event was enthusiastically co-sponsored by eAl- traz ConsultingPrivate Ltd, Chennai, Odyssey Technologies Ltd, Chennai, and Shanmuga Arts Science Technology and Research Academy (SASTRA), Th- javur. The Program Committee Co-chair, Prof.C.Pandu Rangan was responsible for local organization and registration. The Program Committee considered 77 papers and selected 31 pa...

This advanced graduate textbook gives an authoritative and insightful description of the major ideas and techniques of public key cryptography.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Third International Workshop on Practice and Theory in Public Key Cryptography, PKC 2000, held in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, in January 2000. The 31 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 70 submissions. Among the topics addressed are cryptographic protocols, digital signature schemes, elliptic curve cryptography, discrete logarithm, authentication, encryption protocols, key recovery, time stamping, shared cryptography, certification, zero-knowledge proofs, auction protocols, and mobile communications security.
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Information Security and Cryptology, ICISC 2015, held in Seoul, South Korea, in November 2015. The 23 revised full papers presented were carefully selected from 84 submissions during two rounds of reviewing and improvement. The papers provide the latest results in research, development and applications in the field of information security and cryptology. They are grouped around the following topics: digital signatures; public-key cryptography; block cipher cryptanalysis; elliptic curve cryptography; protocols; security; side-channel attacks.
