The Women's Movement in Postcolonial Indonesia
This book examines women's activism in the early years of independent Indonesia when new attitudes to gender, nationalism, citizenship and democratization were forming. It questions the meaning of democratization for women and their relationship to national sovereignty within the new Indonesian state, and discusses women's organizations and their activities; women's social and economic roles; and the different cultural, regional and ethnic attitudes towards women, while showing the failure of political change to fully address women's gender interests and needs. The author argues that both the role of nationalism in defining gender identity and the role of gender in defining national identity need equal recognition.

Weathering the Storm
The principal cause of the 1930s depression in Southeast Asia lay outside the region—through a sharp contraction in demand for the region's major commodity exports. But it had important internal causes, too: an oversupply of primary commodities and an increasing scarcity of new agricultural land leading to higher rents and lower wages, rising indebtedness and increasing landlessness. This work thoroughly analyses the pre-war depression. It also looks at the changes in the basic structures of the economies of Southeast Asia that were of long-term importance, such as the role of the state in the economy. Women's Suffrage in Asia
Including chapters on Indonesia, India, Thailand, China, the Philippines, Japan, Malaysia, Korea, Vietnam and international suffrage connections, Women's Suffrage in Asia engages in debates on suffrage in the region by raising issues unique to the country's case studies presented. It explains why the history of suffrage is neglected in the nationalist historiography and untangles the connections between culture, nationalism and colonialism in the context of women's struggles for suffrage.

The theme of the conference is "Reconstructing Morals, Education, and Social Sciences for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals". This theme was formulated due to several considerations. First, the symptoms of moral decline that have the potential to destroy the nation. Morals guide humanity towards truth and civilization. The phenomenon of the dehumanization process in the industrial era that pushed people to be part of abstract societies tends to ignore humanity. The education process as a humanitarian system is increasingly marginalized, especially during discussions about the industrial revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0. The conference placed six sub-themes for speakers and participants to share ideas, namely: Social Sciences and Laws, History and Cultural Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, Morals and Humanities, Policy, Politics, and Communication, Education. The committee has received 195 abstracts from prospective speakers. However, there are only 80 abstracts that are eligible to be presented at this conference.

Buku Kumpulan Buklet Hari Bersejarah ini merupakan salah satu hasil kegiatan penelitian dan penulisan Proyek Inventarisasi dan Dokumentasi Sejarah Nasional ( Proyek IDSN) tahun 1991/1992 dan tahun 1992/1993 Hari bersejarah yang dimaksud dalam buku ini adalah momentum atau tonggak sejarah yang terpenting dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan sosial budaya dan politik bangsa Indonesia. Peringatan dan perayaan "hari bersejarah" biasanya dilaksanakan oleh instansi pusat serta instansi-instansi terkait lainnya yang menangani aspek-aspek sosial budaya dan politik. Misalnya, peringatan Hari Olahraga Nasional dilaksanakan oleh Kantor Menteri Negara dan Olahraga serta instansi-instansi terkait lainnya. Uraian mengenai hari bersejarah dalam buku ini difokuskan pada latar belakang sejarahnya. Hal ini dimaksudkan agar para peminat sejarah terutama generasi muda dapat mengetahui serta memanfaatkannya sebagai bahan kajian lebih lanjut di masa yang akan datang.
