New Diagnostic, Therapeutic and Organizational Strategies for Acute Coronary Syndromes Patients

This book collects several contributions, written both by statisticians and medical doctors, which focus on the identification of new diagnostic, therapeutic and organizational strategies in order to improve the occurrence of clinical outcomes for Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS) patients. The work is structured in two different parts: the first one is focused on cooperative project mainly on statistical analysis of large clinical and administrative databases; the second one faces the development of innovative diagnostic techniques, with specific reference to genetic and proteomic, and the evolution of new imaging techniques for the early identification of patients at major risk of thrombotic, arrhythmic complications and at risk of poor revascularization.

Practice and Progress in Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology

Developments in the electrical treatment of arrhythmias have been so fast over the last few years that access to available, state-of-the-art knowledge has become a major challenge. The proceedings of scientific meetings are therefore most helpful in this regard. This volume provides highlights of many of the recent and most important technological advances and concepts in cardiac electrotherapy, written by the most prominent figures in the field, for the internists, clinical cardiologists and cardiologists who are practising in arrhythmias and antiarrhythmic therapy. The book is divided into five parts, each focusing on an exciting group of topics. Part One is a highlight of some of the hit ...

Heart Failure Management: The Neural Pathways

This book describes the most recent insights into heart failure and the role played by autonomic nervous system pathophysiology in it, discussing the therapeutic implications. While current therapeutic approaches are able to control the effects of excessive adrenergic activation in heart failure syndrome, the underlying abnormalities of adrenergic control remain unaltered and can still cause progression to unmanageable end-stage heart failure. New therapeutic pathways are therefore being explored with a view to developing interventions that can directly modulate adrenergic over-activity and restore a more appropriate balance in neural control of the cardiovascular system. The book opens by examining current heart failure therapies. Advances in our understanding of autonomic regulation/dysregulation in heart failure are then discussed in detail, in the context of the search for more effective therapies. A concluding section addresses the role of autonomic nervous system denervation in heart failure. The authors are top scientists from leading research centers.

BUT GODaEUR|

Kathy and Rob were pro-vaccine prior to COVID-19. They couldn't believe what they were hearing. Lies were being spouted on national TV. Dr. Fauci's lies changed their views on medicine and vaccines drastically. They felt a whole new generation of doctors had been manufactured by government mandates and restrictions. If the doctors did not comply with the hospital mandates, they would lose their jobs and possibly their licenses. The CEOs were managing the doctors. The pharmaceutical companies were managing the CEOs. Few people in health care were really looking after patients. What happened to the Hippocratic oath, "First do no harm"? Kathy and Rob knew that they were gambling by not getting ...
