Durant la Belle Epoque et l'entre-deux-guerres, Bordeaux attire dans de nombreux établissements de variétés les plus grands artistes du café-concert et du music-hall, parmi lesquels Paulus, Mayol, Maurice Chevalier, Mistinguett et Joséphine Baker. Ce monde nocturne de paillettes et de strass revit à travers les affiches et photographies des spectacles proposées par cet ouvrage, qui nous fait aussi découvrir les maquettes de costumes et de décors destinées à l'élaboration des revues montées au Casino des Quinconces entre 1920 et 1935.
