Oh, I did spend some time on the ocean in the Navy. Then sixteen years as a policeman-homicide, mostly. But even then I drove boats. I bought my own excursion boat, and moved it to Branson, where the business was good. And that is where my problem started-crime, murders, mostly. Everywhere I go something happens to get me drawn into resolving a mystery, even worse than when I was a cop. Like what happened in Branson-the murder of the Branson Star. Two of them, in fact.
