Multi-Actor Multi-Criteria Analysis (MAMCA) developed by Professor Cathy Macharis enables decision-makers within the sectors of transport, mobility and logistics to account for conflicting stakeholder interests. This book draws on 15 years of research and application during which MAMCA has been deployed to support sustainable decisions within the transport and mobility sectors.
This multidisciplinary book delivers a unique collection of well-considered, empirically rich and critical contributions on maritime transport geographies. It covers a wide range of markets and territories as well as institutional, environmental and future issues.
This book provides new dimensions and a contemporary focus on sustainable transport, urban regeneration and development in eight countries spanning four continents at different stages of development. It examines the role of transit oriented development (TOD) in improving urban sustainability and providing different transport choices, exploring how these can be implemented in modern cities.
The report describes the implementation of the procedure in EUCalc (KNIME) to develop SwissCalc, ParisCalc and LausanneCalc. The goal is to downscale levers already in EUCalc like biophysical calorie demand per person, daily calories of food wasted and the total calorie demand by population, population density, the residential and non-residential area per building type, district heating share, beneficial energy consumption (energy need) by building and appliance type, urban protected area, transport demand per capita and transport mode, occupancy and utilization rate of vehicles, a lifetime of cars and appliances, the efficiency of heating and cooling systems, vehicles, and home appliances. Furthermore, I develop approaches for down-scaling emission intensities per fuel type and technology, GHG emissions per technology and fuel type associated with transportation. Finally, my duties include identifying features irrelevant to the city scale in EUCalc and the proposition of new features relevant to any Calc.
This thought-provoking book analyses recent innovations for researching travel behaviour over the life course. Original in its approach, it synthesises quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods to contribute to conceptual, methodological and empirical advancements in the field.
Vu de l'extérieur, la transition énergétique allemande fait figure de succès, ce qu’a rappelé volontiers Angela Merkel. Qu’en est-il au juste ?
