Perencanaan dan Pengendalian Stok Menggunakan Economic Order Quantity (EOQ)
Seiring bertambahnya jumlah penduduk, kebutuhan pangan (dalam hal ini adalah beras) di Indonesia semakin meningkat. Oleh sebab itu Pemerintah membentuk suatu Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) bertujuan untuk menjaga ketercukupan pasokan beras bagi masyarakat. Berdasarkan historical data Indonesia terkadang mengalami kekurangan atau kelebihan persediaan beras, sehingga sering dibutuhkan tindakan movement nasional atau perpindahan beras. Padahal kondisi semacam ini dapat menimbulkan kerugian. Apabila persediaan terlalu banyak, maka akan menimbulkan carrying cost. Sebaliknya, apabila jumlah stok kurang maka akan mengakibatkan keterlambatan penyaluran beras kepada konsumen, yang berdampak juga pada ketidakstabilan harga beras di masyarakat. Melalui metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dengan pendekatan Period Order Quantity (POQ), buku ini mencoba menganalisis sekaligus menguraikan perencanaan dan pengendalian persediaan beras. Analisis ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran sekaligus masukan dalam upaya mengendalikan persediaan beras secara optimal, baik dalam jumlah, waktu, persediaan yang tepat, maupun biaya-biaya yang dikeluarkan dalam mengelola persediaan beras.
