Grenville Mellen Dodge (1831-1916), son of Sylvanus Dodge and (Judith) Julia Teresa Phillips, who was born in Putnamville/Danvers, Massachusetts, and died in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He married Ruth Ann Brown (b. 1833) 1854 in Salem, Massachusetts. An early ancestor, John Dodge (1631-1711) came from England and settled in Massachusetts.
