Foundations of Mathematics
This volume contains the proceedings of the Logic at Harvard conference in honor of W. Hugh Woodin's 60th birthday, held March 27–29, 2015, at Harvard University. It presents a collection of papers related to the work of Woodin, who has been one of the leading figures in set theory since the early 1980s. The topics cover many of the areas central to Woodin's work, including large cardinals, determinacy, descriptive set theory and the continuum problem, as well as connections between set theory and Banach spaces, recursion theory, and philosophy, each reflecting a period of Woodin's career. Other topics covered are forcing axioms, inner model theory, the partition calculus, and the theory of ultrafilters. This volume should make a suitable introduction to Woodin's work and the concerns which motivate it. The papers should be of interest to graduate students and researchers in both mathematics and philosophy of mathematics, particularly in set theory, foundations and related areas.
A Comparison Process for Mouse Pairs
This book proves some important new theorems in the theory of canonical inner models for large cardinal hypotheses, a topic of central importance in modern set theory. In particular, the author 'completes' the theory of Fine Structure and Iteration Trees (FSIT) by proving a comparison theorem for mouse pairs parallel to the FSIT comparison theorem for pure extender mice, and then using the underlying comparison process to develop a fine structure theory for strategy mice. Great effort has been taken to make the book accessible to non-experts so that it may also serve as an introduction to the higher reaches of inner model theory. It contains a good deal of background material, some of it unpublished folklore, and includes many references to the literature to guide further reading. An introductory essay serves to place the new results in their broader context. This is a landmark work in inner model theory that should be in every set theorist's library.

Symmetry Breaking for Representations of Rank One Orthogonal Groups
The authors give a complete classification of intertwining operators (symmetry breaking operators) between spherical principal series representations of and . They construct three meromorphic families of the symmetry breaking operators, and find their distribution kernels and their residues at all poles explicitly. Symmetry breaking operators at exceptional discrete parameters are thoroughly studied. The authors obtain closed formulae for the functional equations which the composition of the symmetry breaking operators with the Knapp-Stein intertwining operators of and satisfy, and use them to determine the symmetry breaking operators between irreducible composition factors of the spherical principal series representations of and . Some applications are included.

The uptick in inflation was largely driven by exogenous factors, but it is important that these do not feed into further inflationary expectations. The financial sector has been resilient to the crisis and almost all banks are well capitalized. The fiscal stimulus has appropriately supported the economy during the crisis and maintaining priority public spending has been critical for mitigating the impact of the crisis on the poor

Paraguay: Addressing the Stagnation and Instability Trap provides an overview of the analytical insights and policy challenges that a country faces while on the path to sustained growth with stability. It covers a wide range of themes, including improving macroeconomic assessments and policy implementation, eliminating turbulence and deepening financial reforms, and, most important of all, enhancing growth performance and reducing poverty. This book provides useful guidance for policymakers by examining the improvements in policy implementation in Paraguay since the regional crisis of 2002. The chapters discuss how to correct economic imbalances and institutional shortcomings in the context of an economic reform program. The results have been impressive with the Paraguayan economy experiencing the highest growth in a quarter of a century and the strongest financial system in decades.
Deformation Theory and Local-Global Compatibility of Langlands Correspondences
The deformation theory of automorphic representations is used to study local properties of Galois representations associated to automorphic representations of general linear groups and symplectic groups. In some cases this allows to identify the local Galois representations with representations predicted by a local Langlands correspondence.
Commutative Algebra: 150 Years with Roger and Sylvia Wiegand
This volume contains the combined Proceedings of the Second International Meeting on Commutative Algebra and Related Areas (SIMCARA) held from July 22–26, 2019, at the Universidade de São Paulo, São Carlos, Brazil, and the AMS Special Session on Commutative Algebra, held from September 14–15, 2019, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wisconsin. These two meetings celebrated the combined 150th birthday of Roger and Sylvia Wiegand. The Wiegands have been a fixture in the commutative algebra community, as well as the wider mathematical community, for over 40 years. Articles in this volume cover various areas of factorization theory, homological algebra, ideal theory, representation theory, homological rigidity, maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules, and the behavior of prime spectra under completion, as well as some topics in related fields. The volume itself bears evidence that the area of commutative algebra is a vibrant one and highlights the influence of the Wiegands on generations of researchers. It will be useful to researchers and graduate students.

"Police and protestors clashed in Armenia's capital, Yerevan, on March 1, 2008, bringing to a head the country's latest electoral dispute--over the results of a presidential poll in February 2008. On that day, in episodes at different city center locations, police variously set upon protestors without warning or resistance, negotiated, withdrew, returned to the offensive, and finally fought a pitched battle with a small group of protestors. At least ten people died--eight protestors and two police officers--and scores were injured ... The Armenian authorities' response to the March 1 events has been one-sided. While they have convicted dozens of opposition members, sometimes in flawed and politically motivated trials, for organizing the demonstration and participating in violent disorder, they have not prosecuted any law enforcement official for excessive use of force. The authorities have also dismissed as unfounded all allegations of ill-treatment and torture in detention"--Cover, p. [4].
