Species accounts include an illustration of each species, scientific and vernacular names, and information on habitat, biology, fisheries, size, relevant literature, and distribution.

Groupers are members of one of the largest families of fishes found in Florida waters and they run the gamut of sizes and shapes, from graysby weighing several pounds to the Goliath grouper that can tip the scale at 600 pounds or more.
