Burns will make available from the registers of Jaume the Conqueror at the Crown Archives in Barcelona--the most impressive archives of this kind outside the papal series, and the first extensive use of paper by a European government. Per a l’estudi d’aquests cinc antics llocs i parròquies l’autor ha pogut recórrer a una documentació molt abundant i molt rica, provinent sobretot de l’antic monestir benedictí de Sant Benet de Bages, que abasta del segle X al segle XVI.
