Si bien esta publicación explora los conocimientos y manifestaciones asociados a la cotidianidad de la vida campesina, centra su mirada en la fortaleza organizativa de quienes habitan el páramo. El campesinado de Sumapaz reconoce, mediante sus propios relatos, la fuerza de las huellas que han dejado la violencia y la estigmatización ideológica a causa del conflicto por la tenencia de la tierra en el país a lo largo del siglo XX e inicios del XXI. También reconoce que esta historia, que atraviesa sus formas de relacionarse, habitar y manifestarse, es quizás el núcleo que ha dado impulso a unas formas y procesos organizativos particulares. Y en este eje es donde se encuentra el patrimonio que vive y nutre la vida de campesinas y campesinos del Sumapaz.
Sport and Militarism
The institutional relationship between sport and the military appears to be intensifying. In the US for example, which faced global criticism for its foreign policy during the "war on terror," militaristic images are commonplace at sporting events. The growing global phenomenon of conflating sport with war calls for closer analysis. This critical, interdisciplinary and international book seeks to identify intersections of sport and militarism as a means to interrogate, interrupt and intervene on behalf of democratic, peaceful politics. Viewing sport as a crucial site in which militarism is made visible and legitimate, the book explores the connections between sport, the military and the state, and their consequent impact on wider culture. La Carta y breve compendio (1466), dirigida a Rodrigo Alfonso, IV conde de Benavente, y la Exhortación o información de buena y sana doctrina (1467), dirigida al rey niño Alfonso XII de Castilla (1465-1468), redactadas por el letrado vinculado a la casa del conde de Benavente, Pedro de Chinchilla, conservadas en la actualidad en la Biblioteca de Menéndez Pelayo de Santander (M-88), son dos buenas muestras de la literatura de espejos de príncipes en el otoño de la Edad Media. Escritos en el contexto de la guerra civil entre Enrique IV de Castilla (1454-1474) y su hermano Alfonso XII, ambos escritos constituyen un buen ejemplo de las relaciones entre poder y cultura a fines de la Edad Media. También son un excelente testimonio de las percepciones que el hombre del cuatrocientos tenía sobre lo político y de las estrategias dirigidas a asegurar el gobierno duradero en un contexto de inestabilidad política.

This multi-author book analyzes the theme of madness in formative masterpieces of Spanish literature of the 19th and 20th century through the use of relevant critical and theoretical approaches.
