Frequent comparison with many of the drainages of the TN & MI valleys has been necessary; much of the material reported from those areas has been re-examined. The inception of this report, however, begins with the collections made by Francis Harper from 1930-1945. The lots of fishes he gathered during his southern trips have been studied.
