Bab-bab dimaksud berupa pendahuluan yang menyatakan ruang lingkup, tujuan, dan maksud penggalian potensi kesenian di Kabupaten Karanganyar. Bab-bab berikutnya mengungkapkan kondisi atau profil Kabupaten Karanganyar dan potensi berbagai kesenian pada setiap kecamatan. Potensi kesenian di kabupaten Karanganyar disajikan dalam kelompok seni musik, seni pertunjukan, seni tari, dan seni lukis. Potensi-potensi kesenian tersebut, yang diwadahi dalam sanggar yang memiliki berbagai prestasi, keberadaan festival dan lembaga-lembaga kursus menjadi dasar dalam mengembangkan wisata edukatif.
