B2B Marketing Strategy

B2B marketing is functioning in an increasingly fast-paced and complex business landscape, with a wealth of new technologies, tools and channels, and where customers are more in control of the buying process than ever before. With the imperative to become 'digital', B2B marketers have become consumed by the marketing activity itself - the tactics - instead of the outcomes marketers want and need to achieve for customers and businesses. B2B Marketing Strategy provides fresh insight into the challenges marketers are facing in such an environment and offers a new framework for developing B2B marketing strategy and plans. The Real-Time Revolution

Time has become a precious commodity, so business leaders who can save their customers' time more effectively than competitors do will win their loyalty. This book shows how it's done. Business survival requires valuing what customers value—and in our overworked and distraction-rich era, customers value their time above all else. Real-time companies beat their rivals by being faster and more responsive in meeting customer needs. To become a real-time company, as top scholars Jerry Power and Tom Ferratt explain, you need a real-time monitoring and response system. They offer detailed advice on how to put procedures in place that will collect data on how well products or services are saving ...

Tales of Awakening

Coming to life again after a period of emotional deadness is something many struggle with. Historically, there has been a gap in this area of psychology, though work was found in the area of clinical psychology on related topics such as depression and happiness. The most appropriate supporting literature was found in work on ascent and descent myths, the transformational process of alchemy, and the symbolism in fairy tales. Little was known about the experience from a modern person's view. Heidi Taylor brings you on an autobiographical-heuristic journey of her descent into the Underworld and what it took to rise from the ashes. This work of literature is her dissertation that was submitted for her PhD in clinical psychology. It includes fascinating interviews with five people who have made similar journeys and how they rose above adversity.

James Watson was born in Kenya in 1934. Much of his education was as a boarder, in Nairobi, away from his family and 'home'. As a young man, James enlisted into the Kenya Regiment. During the tragic period of the 'Mau Mau' uprising. James served five years active service in the Kenya Highlands. In his 30's James' civilian career started in London, where he completed his accountancy qualifications. James stayed working in London before returning to a directional position back in his homeland. The civil unrest in Kenya caused James to seek a safer environment for his young family. With the help of Mr Vince Coleman, of the Commonwealth Bank, James found a good job in Australia. That was more than 40 years ago. Most recently James moved to Far North Queensland, and is now a well-loved, familiar figure in Port Douglas. In 2011 James received the Cairns and Surrounding area 'Volunteer of the Year' award. The Circus Age

A century ago, daily life ground to a halt when the circus rolled into town. Across America, banks closed, schools canceled classes, farmers left their fields, and factories shut down so that everyone could go to the show. In this entertaining and provocative book, Janet Davis links the flowering of the early-twentieth-century American railroad circus to such broader historical developments as the rise of big business, the breakdown of separate spheres for men and women, and the genesis of the United States' overseas empire. In the process, she casts the circus as a powerful force in consolidating the nation's identity as a modern industrial society and world power. Davis explores the multip...

Collision

With very few exceptions, interdisciplinary art and interarts practices—examined as such, including the perspective of artist-researchers, and not subsumed under a singular category of performance or visual art—have, until now, been largely ignored. While it would be simplistic to think that this collection somehow rectifies the “piecemeal” status of this discourse, our wager is that this collection works towards presenting an understanding of this status as, in a certain sense, constitutive of the field. Beginning with an introduction to the very multiplicities that compose and complicate interdisciplinary practices, then moving into questions of body/technology, location/movement, ...
