This book, chronicles the journey of a young woman who began her professional life as a teacher, in a village in south Trinidad, during an era of change, a time when the status quo was being questioned and challenged internationally. It is written through the eyes of someone who was a child of the Black Power Revolution in Trinidad and Tobago which impacted the lives of many young people of that era. Her search for truth led to her becoming involved in a clandestine revolutionary group, the National United Freedom Fighters, comprising young people of like mind who were waging a class struggle against capitalism and imperialism. It tells of the inspiration she drew from the leadership and moral direction of many outstanding global Freedom Fighters. It relates how Andrea became involved in the largest bank robbery in the history of Trinidad and Tobago, of her life on the run, her capture and imprisonment. It describes her periods of heightened spiritual awareness, her becoming a Medical Social Worker and her conversion. This journey has been documented by the author with the hope that it would shine some light on the darkness of these end times.

Contemporary Paganism is a movement that is still young and establishing its identity and place on the global religious landscape. The members of the movement are simultaneously growing, unifying, and maintaining its characteristic diversity of traditions, identities, and rituals. The modern Pagan movement has had a restless formation period but has also been the catalyst for some of the most innovative religious expressions, praxis, theologies, and communities. As Contemporary Paganism continues to grow and mature, new angles of inquiry about it have emerged and are explored in this collection. This examination and study of contemporary Paganism contributes new ways to observe and examine other religions, where innovations, paradoxes, and inconsistencies can be more accurately documented and explained.

Inhabited by Stories

Intertextuality has signaled change, appropriation, adaptation, and derivation. It has focused readers on irresolvable questions of influence and origination, progressive or regressive movement across continents, periods, and media. Inhabited by Stories: Critical Essays on Tales Retold takes a different approach. What would a model of literary study look like that steps out of time’s river and embraces not only the presence and proximity of the world to the senses, but also of the past and the future to the present here and now? When stories inhabit us, imagination and memory extend our ability to see and feel. Phenomenological experience is lived, not just thought. Such a perspective sugg...
